Using an amateur built boat

This subject category has been in place since last September. It was originaly intended for a first story about a brave man who used his amateur built boat to save lives in New Orleans - that story went untold. Everyday heroes are often modest men and women! Being an optimistic chap I hope you will narate the use of the boats you have built with your own hands. Ordinary use or extraordinary use.

The second category here will be must see places to do some boating. I am going to kick start that section with various places to go boating in western France.

Yes I will publish stories about fishing but you will have to move me - think "The old man and the sea" quality... Don't get me wrong, I am a fisherman too! I just want top of the barrel fishing story writing - I know you can do it!

A long weekend in northern Brittany is the setting for some fantastic boating when the weather permits.

Canoeing and trout fishing are on the program in the Lot. As well as visiting old stone and eating great food in this untouched area of France.

A weekend in Pont Aven made famous by the impressionist painters in the late 19th century.
