Bateau.com announces two new boat plans, a 12' and 14'. The program of the boats is very close to the FL12 and FL14 but with a big difference, these boats are designed as planing vee hulls while the FL12/14 are displacement boats.

As easy to build as the FL12 and 14, the butt blocks are used as locators for the frames and as in the FL12, the butt blocks are completely invisible, hidden in the mid-seat.

The hull shape has a moderate vee, a compromise between smooth running and good stability. These boats can be rowed, not pleasure rowing, but in an emergency the oars will bring you back home. The hulls are very sturdy with a bottom made of a plywood-fiberglass-epoxy sandwich, biaxial glass in and out. The plans for the FS14 will be available this week and the FS12 will follow within a month.

Hull weight of the FS14 around 150 lbs
LOA 168", beam 64"
Displacement at 5" draft = 585 lbs and PPI = 200 lbs
Recommended HP will be from 6 to 15 HP
