23' Clippercraft build

Here is the current installment of the build, as it sits today. Unfortunately I need to paint the shop, otherwise I would have started putting in temporary bulkheads and frames, etc etc. Gotta get this project off the ground so I can put her in the water for halibut in the spring!

Fresh coat of epoxy (3 hot coats inside, 2 hot outside) makes all shiny:

I see you are really moving along Eric!

Are you going to put a toe rail on the bow?

Cheers

Shame about the internet, I'm so busy lately I've completely neglected this forum altogether!

Doh!

Sea trials are complete, and she's been a flawless runner:

Image

Peels away from her wake at 9 kts, no discernible hump speed (neighbor even commented that it seems like it never gets off plane), runs out flat and smooth at 18 kts, gets over 30kts light boat on 140 hp, and held 11 people on the first run out.

All switches, gauges, lines, and rigged parts worked perfectly on the first try, with only a tiny mishap when the throttle cable popped off the throttle blade, no biggie.

More photos on the website, more info on the windows and work in the last couple weeks. Just a little bit more effort and she's ready for tuna, which is good because they are already in Oregon!
