I have built two D4/5's over the last few years. My latest was built winter before last. I have used it for 2 seasons and it has been great. It has been inspected and registered for use with an engine.

I need to get an inflatable based on my mooring/dinghy storage setup. My current gfriend does not like to carry the boat over the rocks between my dinghy storage rack and the water. I need an inflatable so I can carry it myself. The D4 is not heavy but it's not doable with one person.

I'm asking $300 for it and will deliver it within 20 miles of Clinton Mass. For anyone who has built one, you are looking at double that cost at a minimum. I can provide assembly pictures taken every step of the way. My seats are filled with floating foam blocks for safety. I used 1/2" plywood on the transom for extra strength for use with an engine. I used regular plywood with multiple coats of System 3 Epoxy for the construction. I used a 3.3HP merc and never at full power. I built mine with an original clear (wood) finish for the exterior and bottom but you could easily paint it. The interior is painted white (marine paint). She also has brass oar locks. At the end of the first season I reapplied epoxy to the bottom and other usual end of season touch up. She needs the same end of season touch up now but she's totally solid. This is the most stable dinghy I have ever used. I can easily carry two adults with cooler and engine and other gear.
