What's new?

5th April, 2016

For all those interested in the Richard Woods Skoota 28 or any of his other designs: On the weekend of April 16th Richard will be at Jacques Mertens' dock in Vero Beach, Florida. BBQ and beer!
Please RSVP at the bateau2 forum

Spring has sprung and as the days warm enough to get the epoxy out I hope many of you are back to building! I have a new job and especially half decent wages again so my plan is to be back on the water for September. Fishing from the shore has its charm but on the water is my preferred spot.

We kicked off 2016, our 11th year (!), with a plan from Italy, the IDEA 21. This is our first plan presentation in quite a while I hope you enjoy it.

We follow up with the third part of our series on boat wiring - protecting your wiring with fuses and circuit breakers.

Please submit your own content for free publication on this site. Designers: if despite current economic gray clouds you are still drawing plans for amateur builders this is the place to make them known. Kit makers we need details about your kits too! Despite my long spell of abandon the site still draws over 4,000 readers a month (an increase of 1,000 since Dec 2014) who are reading more than 3 pages per session. This is not the 10,000 readers we had once upon a time but it is still three thousand builders or potential builders. Your call...

FAQ: No this site does not sell plans. Some designers have affiliate programs which means that the site gets a percentage on plans sold if you click on the "buy plans" links or advertising banners.

No this site is not a business. Please stop SEO people, I am sure I can handle site promotion on my own...
